Dypsis decaryi or Triangle palm gets its name due to the way the leaves are grown almost upright from the trunk and arching gracefully outward. The leaf bases are arranged in three vertical columns set approximately 120 degrees apart on the main stem, forming a triangular shape.

The Triangle palm originated in Madagascar. Madagascar is home to several interesting and unique palms that grow in the open plains. The Triangle palm is just one more such palm.

The Dypsis decaryi makes a gorgeous specimen tree or accent tree for display to show its unique shape.

The Triangle palm can be grown outdoors or indoors it will grow up to 20 feet tall and 15 feet wide.
